Day 1 London - Boston
You will be collected from your home by Titan’s VIP Home Departure Service and taken to London Heathrow Airport in time for your direct Virgin Atlantic flight to Boston Logan Airport. On arrival you will be transferred by coach to the 4* Boston Park Plaza.
Day 2 Boston
Today you can enjoy a city tour of Boston, including the site of the Boston Tea Party, Back Bay and Beacon Hill, before finishing at Quincy Market. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure.
Day 3 Boston - Newport - Mystic
This morning you will leave Boston and visit beautiful Newport in America’s smallest state, Rhode Island. Regarded as the sailing capital of the world, you will have time to enjoy the picturesque setting and wealth of architectural styles. Later in the day you’ll cross into your third and most southerly New England state, Connecticut, and arrive in Mystic and our hotel for the night, the 3*+ Hyatt Place Mystic.
Day 4 Mystic - Williamstown
This morning you’ll have the chance to explore Mystic Seaport, a living replica of a 19th century waterfront community during the days of sail, before heading onwards to the Norman Rockwell Museum, one of America’s most beloved illustrators. After a short stop in Stockbridge, arrive in Williamstown where you’ll find your hotel for the night – the 3* Williams Inn.
Day 5 Williamstown - Rutland
Today you will travel through the stunning Vermont scenery with stops at Old Bennington and Woodstock, where urban elegance and sophistication have characterised the pretty village since the 18th century. Arrive at your hotel, the 3* Holiday Inn Rutland.
Day 6 Rutland - Colchester
Enjoy an included visit to Fort Ticonderoga. During the American Revolution this was the scene of America’s first major victory in its struggle for independence and the United States’ northern stronghold protecting New York and New England from British invasion from Canada. Make a stop at a local farm for a self-guided tour and tasting, before travelling to Burlington, one of Vermont’s most popular tourist destinations, and stay overnight at the 3* Hampton Inn or similar - just a short drive from downtown Burlington.
Day 7 Burlington
Today you’ll visit the Trapp Family Lodge. What was once a modest farm became home to this famous family, after they fled Austria and built new lives through their music. Before returning to your hotel, you will have some free time in the pretty village of Stowe.
Day 8 Colchester - North Conway
Today you will have the opportunity to sample the famous maple syrup at Morse Maple Farm before continuing on to Montpelier for a tour of the grand Vermont State House set in expansive neat gardens, and then free time in North Conway, a mountain village ideal for shopping with more than 200 factory outlets and speciality shops lining its main streets. Your hotel for two nights is the 3* North Conway Grand.
Day 9 North Conway
Enjoy a sightseeing tour of the wonderful White Mountain region, including visits to Crawford Notch, an impressive gorge that rises from the Saco River, and Bretton Woods with vistas towards Mount Washington.
Day 10 North Conway - Portland
Leaving North Conway we make our way to Portland, described by the poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow as a beautiful town seated by the sea. Once a prosperous port and early state capital, Portland has a thriving arts community, with galleries, boutiques and incredible restaurants serving everything from the famous New England clam chowder and lobster rolls to the nouvelle cuisine. Stay overnight at the 3* Holiday Inn by the Bay.
Day 11 Portland - Boston - In flight
Departing Portland you will see the historic villages of Concord and neighbouring Lexington. It is here that in 1775 the Minute Men of the patriotic militia fought the British Redcoats in the first shots of the Battle of Independence. Later on you will continue your journey to the airport for your direct Virgin Atlantic flight back to London.
Day 12 London
Arrive at London Heathrow Airport where you will be met and guided to your Titan vehicle, for the journey home.
