Experience the open road as you journey the classic and famed Route 66 from Chicago to Los Angeles.

Day 1: Arrive Chicago, collect your rental car and check-in at your hotel for a 2 night stay Day 2: Day at leisure in Chicago
Day 3: Chicago to Springfield (200 miles/3 hours) Head to Springfield, famed for being the home of Abraham Lincoln.
Day 4: Springfield to St Louis (101 miles/1.5 hours) Travel through the heartland of America following the Mississippi down to St Louis.
Day 5: St Louis to Springfield (217 miles/3 hours) Continue through the Ozarks and Mark Twain National Forest to Springfield.
Day 6: Springfield, Missouri – Tulsa/Broken Arrow (182 miles/ 2.5 hours) Drive on through Kansas and into Oklahoma.
Day 7: Tulsa/Broken Arrow – Amarillo (366 miles/5 hours) Head through Oklahoma and across the Texas Panhandle and onto Amarillo.
Days 8 & 9: Amarillo – Santa Fe (280 miles/4 hours) Pass through Adrian, the Route 66 mid-point between Chicago and Santa Monica. Then travel across the plains to Santa Fe and spend 2 nights in this beautiful city.
Day 10: Santa Fe – Albuquerque (63 miles/1 hour) Go back onto Route 66 to mile-high Albuquerque.
Day 11: Albuquerque – Gallup (134 miles/2 hours) Travel across the New Mexico desert to Gallop, gateway to the Four Corners area and the Navajo Nation.
Day 12: Gallup – Flagstaff (185 miles/3 hours) Todays drive takes you through the most scenic portions of old Route 66 continuing west to Flagstaff for a 2 night stay.
Day 13: Grand Canyon National Park. Drive into the park and take a scenic walk along the rim to marvel at the breath-taking views.
Day 14: Flagstaff to Las Vegas (251 miles/4 hours) Step off Route 66 for a while to journey across the desert to Las Vegas. Cross the Colorado River on the Hoover Dam to enter Las Vegas for a 2 night stay.
Day 15: Day at leisure in Las Vegas
Day 16: Las Vegas – Los Angeles (271 miles/4 hours) Follow the last section of Route 66 which turns into Sunset Boulevard and ends up facing the Pacific Ocean at Santa Monica. Spend 2 nights in Los Angeles.
Day 17: Explore the sights of Los Angeles
Day 18: Drop your car off at Los Angeles airport and take your return flight to the UK.
