Central Delhi, with its tree-lined avenues, imposing structures and buildings reflect Delhi’s colonial past while modern Delhi has lots to offer with an extensive metro network connecting all corners of the city. It’s a shopper’s haven and no visit is complete without sampling some of the delicious curries on offer.

Jaipur, the largest city of Rajasthan is known as the ‘pink city’. Here you will find splendid fortresses, majestic palaces, tranquil temples and beautiful havelis. Shop for exquisite handicrafts and spectacular jewellery or just spend time in lush gardens enjoying the fabulous landscapes on offer.

Agra is the seat of the great Mughal rulers and home to the world famous Taj Mahal. Built by the emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal, it is the epitome of love. Agra also has flourishing bazars which cannot be missed where one can purchase stone handicrafts, shoes, spices, marble work, ethnic clothes and leather products

Itinerary:

Day 1 – VIP Collection for flight from London Heathrow to Delhi

Day 2 – Delhi: transfer to your hotel followed by afternoon sightseeing tour of New Delhi including the sights of the India Gate Memorial, Rashtrapati Bhavan and Qutab Minar. Accommodation - Maidens Hotel (4T) or Crowne Plaza Okhla Delhi (4T)

Day 3 – Morning tour of Old Delhi with visits to the Jama Masjid, Raj Ghat and Humayun’s Tomb followed by afternoon drive to Agra for 2 nights’ accommodation. Accommodation - Trident (4T) or Radisson Blu Agra (4T)

Day 4 – Agra: spend the morning at the Taj Mahal followed by a visit to Agra’s imposing fort.

Day 5 – Visit the ‘ghost city’ of Fatehpur Sikri before continuing by road to Bharatpur to board a train for Sawai Madhopur and short transfer to Ranthambore National Park. Accommodation - Ranthambore Regency (3T+) or The Tiger Den (3T+)

Day 6 – Two safari drives present the opportunity to spot the characterful residents of this wildlife haven, including leopard, monkey, sloth bear and myriad species of bird. The grand prize is a sighting of the Bengal tiger.

Day 7 – Enjoy your third safari drive followed by a drive to Jaipur. Accommodation - Holiday Inn City Centre (4T+) or Le Meridien (4T+)

Day 8 – Early breakfast before a drive up to Amber Fort then head to the serene foothill lake, where the fort is romantically reflected and where elephants are often seen to bathe. Head back to Jaipur to see the sights including the City Palace, the Jantar Mantar observatory and the stunning Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds).

Day 9 – Depart Jaipur for return to Delhi. Accommodation - Trident (4T), Gurgaon, Maidens (4T), Delhi, or Crowne Plaza Okhla Delhi (4T)

Day 10 – Transfer to airport for return flight and return transfer home.
