Day 1
Just ten minutes from Vancouver Airport you will find Steveston with its busy commercial fishing harbour, antique shops and art galleries. Enjoy a seafood lunch and visit London Farm, an 1890's farmhouse with delightful flower and herb gardens overlooking the Fraser River.

Day 2
Take the car ferry from Tsawwassen to Salt Spring Island and look out for dolphins and whales on your journey. Stay at the Hastings House Country Hotel and enjoy fine dining and award winning wines. Visit local artisan and crafts people’s workshops and studios. The Farmers Market is on a Saturday and well worth visiting as are the local wineries.

Day 3
Take the short ferry from Fulford Harbour to Swartz Bay on Vancouver Island. Discover Victoria with its numerous elegant shops and restaurants. Explore the beautiful 55 acres of Butchart Gardens and take afternoon tea. Take a whale watching trip, have a pint at Spinnakers, Canada’s oldest microbrew pub or discover loose teas from around the world at Silk Road.

Day 4
Drive from Victoria to Sooke and visit Sooke Harbour House and tour the edible garden with resident expert. Enjoy lunch at this award winning restaurant or visit Point-no-Point for lunch overlooking the rugged west coastline. Take a wild seaweed tour with "Seaweed Lady" and learn more about the most nutritional plant in the world.

Day 5
Visit Aerie Resort & Spa high above the Malahat Highway where only the freshest local and seasonal ingredients are used for all meals. Private cooking lessons can be arranged or just enjoy your lunch. Head north to the heart of Cowichan Valley and enjoy a number of locally produced cheeses, meats, fruits and wines. Cowichan means "lands warmed by the sun in the Aboriginal Salish language. Discover around 35 vineyards along Highway 1 known as the Burgundy Wine Route (signed). Cowichan Bay is delightful, pic

turesque fishing village with restaurants and shops extending

over the bay on stilts. Averill Creek Winery is one of many must see locations for its stunning views and amazing wines.

Day 6
Stop to enjoy ice cream and view the impressive murals in Chemainus. In Nanaimo visit the Dinghy Dock pub, Canada's only floating pub, then take the small passenger ferry to Protection Island where you can stroll over to Newcastle Island through the Pirates Causeway. Take the car ferry from Nanaimo to Horseshoe Bay and either overnight on Bowen Island (a 25 minute passenger ferry from Horseshoe Bay) or stay in West Vancouver.

Day 7
Leave Horseshoe Bay and enjoy a leisurely scenic drive back to Vancouver via the Lions Gate Bridge and Stanley Park. Discover the sights of Vancouver before returning home.
