The Burren; renowned for its landscape is home to a vast array of flora and fauna and the extraordinary rock formations create a unique landscape to explore. Visit one of Ireland’s most popular visitor attractions, the Cliffs of Moher; standing 702ft at their highest point and stretching for 5 miles along the Atlantic coastline you can be assured of spectacular views.

Spend a day at Bunratty Castle & Folk Park and explore the most complete and authentic medieval castle in Ireland. Stroll around the houses of yesteryear and visit the charming village street complete with school, post office, doctors house, hardware shop, printers and of course McNamara’s pub!

Tour one of the oldest caves in Ireland, Aillwee Caves and take a 30 minute tour through beautiful caverns, over bridged chasma and alongside the thunderous waterfall. Marvel at the weird formations and cave features such as the frozen waterfall. Combine a trip to the caves with a visit to the Birds of Prey centre and learn all about these magnificent bird; be entertained by the dynamic flying displays and you can even take a hawk walk.

Drive along the Loop Head Peninsula or put on your walking boots and head off out into the landscape. Appreciate the dramatic cliffs and keep a look out for whales, dolphins and a variety of nesting sea birds. Take time to visit the Loophead Lighthouse and have a guided tour to the top of the tower to admire the breath-taking views.

Get a fascinating insight into the day to day life on 19th century inmates at Cork City Gaol. Soak up the atmosphere, as you walk through the wings of the gaol each representing their particular period in Irish history from pre–famine times to the foundation of the state.

For over 200 years millions of people have visited Blarney Castle to climb the steps and kiss the Blarney Stone to gain the gift of eloquence. However, there is much more to see. From the top of the Castle you can take in the wonderful views of over 60 acres of sprawling parklands which include gardens, avenues, arboretums and waterways. Visit Rock Close, a magical place and walk down the Wishing Steps and keep a look out for the Witch’s Stone.

Dedicated to conservation and education the Fota Wildlife Park is an ideal place for a family day out. Discover the park on your own, watch the animals at feeding time or take a guided tour where you can explore the behind the scenes areas, prepare food in the kitchen for the animals you will meet on your tour and help the warden with the feeding of them.

Situated on the south coast you will find Cobh, a waterside town steeped in history. It was here that the RMS Titanic made her final port of call before setting out across the Atlantic on her ill-fated maiden voyage. Take a harbour boat trip, the Titanic trail walking tour or just enjoy one of its many festivals that take place throughout the year.
