The largest of the islands with its sometimes snow-capped volcano and a good selection of beach resorts on the south of the island where the sun shines the most. An excellent selection of apartments and resort hotels with standards to suit all tastes and budgets. All are located a short transfer from the main airport. On our last visit, we hired a car for a few days and explored the islands southern coast and ventured up to the higher altitudes of Mount Teide for great views.
236 km of coastline and almost 60 km of sandy beaches all bathed in gentle sunshine that fills one with energy. A World Biosphere Reserve with its volcanic landscapes, Macaronesian flora and extensive pine forests make this island worthy of this honour from UNESCO. The Dunes at Maspalomas, moulded by the wind, change their appearance every day and are a must attraction. Choose from popular large beach resorts with every amenity to charming coastal villages like Puerto Mogan.

Whitewashed houses and beautiful beaches Lanzarote has the most unique landscape of all the islands and renowned Timanfaya National Park with its rocky terrain created and sculptured by volcanic eruptions from the 1730s.

Immense volcanic landscapes and pristine beaches earned the entire island the honour of UNESCO World Biosphere Reserve status in 2009. Is there any special procedure I should follow before my trip? What safety measures will I encounter at the airport and/or on the plane?

NEWLY ANNOUNCED: ANTIGEN test for Covid is now accepted for clients flying direct from the UK to the Canary Islands. It is fast and much cheaper than the previous PCR test. Take the test 72 hours before departure. Subject to your operators travel conditions, please ask for details.
Before your trip: in the 48 hours before your arrival in Spain, you must complete a public health form online at SPAIN TRAVEL HEALTH-SpTH to obtain your personal QR code.
At your departure airport: you have to show your QR code at security (you must have it printed out or on your mobile phone).
At your arrival airport: your temperature will be taken on arrival in the islands and, if it is 37.5 ºC or higher, you will undergo a medical assessment.
