• Tour Castle Ward (Audley's Castle) dating to the 14th century, used repeatedly as backdrop for the series. The castle of the Wards was used as Winterfell and Audley's Wood is where Brienne of Tarth and Jamie Lannister trekked together toward King's Landing

Itinerary – 7 days, 6 nights

Day 1: Arrive in Dublin and head to County Meath to visit Trim Castle, which was used for filming in the film Braveheart. Check into your hotel for a welcome drink and evening meal followed by a visit from Trim Living History to view and see a demonstration of medieval weapons and armour. (D)

Day 2: Depart Trim to begin you exploration of Westeros as you pass the beautifully remote Binevenagh Mountain and visit the early Christian settlement of Monasterboice. Continue on to Downhill Strand (Dragonstone) and visit Mussenden Temple. (B & D)

Day 3: Head off to the picturesque ruins of Dunluce Castle (House of Greyjoy on the Iron Islands) and continue on to the Giants Causeway and Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. (B & D)

Day 4: Drive north along the Nine Glens of Antrim and pass the Dark Hedges (Kings Road) and explore Cushendun Caves. Continue on to view Cairncastle and visit Shillanavogy Valley which sits under the Slemish Mountain and enjoy a close up look at the area filmed as the Dothraki grasslands. (B & D)

Day 5: Embark on a sightseeing tour of Belfast including a visit to Crumlin Road Gaol. Travel along the shores of Lough Neagh to Shane’s Castle where the caverns are used for filming the crypts in Winterfell. Return to Belfast (B & D)

Day 6: Drive along the scenic Strangford Lough (Narrow Sea) and visit the haunting ruins of Inch Abbey and explore Tollymore Forest Park. Spend time at Castle Ward (Winterfell, home of the Starks). Gain admission to the movie set, dress up in authentic outfits and pose for countless photo opportunities. Overnight in Newcastle (B & D)

Day 7: Return to Dublin (B)
